I've never had rip n dip style bagels, but I might be a convert! These bagels were wonderfully hot and fresh, with a great soft and chewy texture inside, and a nice crisp exterior. Our favorite was the salt bagel, but they didn't skimp on the everything bagel seasoning, and the plain had a nice crisp. The scallion cream cheese was nicely whipped and flavorful. I wish there was an option for a smaller container of schmear with the 3 bagel option -- it feels wasteful to have enough schmear for 6+ bagels when we only have 3 bagels. I'm not sure how they time it so everyone gets fresh bagels, but whatever they're doing, it's working! Looking forward to the Harvard location!
PopUp Bagels in Seaport delivers on what it promises: simple, fresh bagels done well. It can get busy, especially on weekends, but the service is impressively quick. The menu is limited, which might not work for everyone - but if you’re someone who enjoys the simple things in life, that’s not a problem. I went for the plain bagel with butter - no frills, just solid quality. While I usually prefer my bagels served fully prepared, I didn’t mind the rip-and-dip style too much here.
PopUp Bagels at Seaport is definitely worth a visit if you’re a bagel lover. The bagels are incredibly fresh, chewy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside — exactly how a great bagel should be. The flavor and texture are on point, and the spreads are rich and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the classic cream cheese with everything seasoning — simple but done right. There’s usually a long line, especially in the morning, which shows how popular this place has become. But to their credit, the service is impressively fast and efficient, so the wait isn’t as bad as it looks. Staff are friendly and organized, and the whole process runs smoothly. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the wait and limited menu options — it’s a bit focused and not as customizable as some might like. Still, if you’re in the area and craving a high-quality bagel, PopUp Bagels is a solid choice. I’ll definitely be back!
Pop-Up Bagels in Boston? Yeah, It’s Legit—Now Can We Talk About That Crunch? Listen up, Boston—your bagel game just got a serious upgrade, and of course it had to come from New York. Pop-Up Bagels rolled into town like a hero in a flour-dusted cape, and after one bite, I’m ready to swear allegiance. First off, that everything bagel? A masterpiece. The outside was so crispy and caramelized, I half-wondered if they hired a sugar-glass blower to achieve that perfect crackle. Then—BAM—you tear into it, and steam comes billowing out like a bagel-shaped sauna. The inside? Chewy, dense, exactly how a real bagel should be. None of that soft, sad bread-pretending-to-be-a-bagel nonsense. My wife went full salt bagel mode, coated in those thicc Maldon salt flakes—basically the caviar of sodium. Paired with scallion cream cheese so smooth, it was like schmear royalty. (Side note: The guy running the line was a legend—shout-out to the sesame bagel stan. You do you, king.) Yeah, it’s $15 for three bagels and a tub of cream cheese—which, okay, *ouch*—but let’s be real: You’re not here for a bargain. You’re here because you want a bagel that actually tastes like a bagel, not a circular disappointment. Final verdict? Worth the hype, worth the cash, and absolutely worth the line. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go practice my New York accent in the mirror while eating my leftovers. 🥯🔥
i heard so much hype about it these bagels so i had to try them. the bagels were warm and fresh out of the oven. they had a good crunch but soft in the middle. the scallion cream cheese was also really good. definitely check this out.
